that was awesomedamagedgoods wrote:+1. Fuck track comments. Dubstep producers begging for track feedback on soundcloud = 14 year old girls begging for picture comments on Myspace.FSTZ wrote:yeah, I don't get much feedback but I don't give a shit
feedback comes from the people on the dancefloor
Seriously, it's exactly the same thing. 95% of the feedback I see on Soundcloud is positive, and almost all of the "this is SICK BRUV" comments I read are TOTALLY unwarranted, usually on really tedious and badly produced tracks. So I'd never actually take soundcloud feedback that seriously. Nobody's ever gonna comment on a track to say "yeah it's alright, but kinda sounds like every other track out there AND it's not mixed very well...."
If I really like someone's music I'll message them and tell them so. That's a lot more valuable IMHO. You're not gonna budge a dancefloor with a bunch of Soundcloud feedback.

Re: DSF feedback
I don't really get what the problem is...you want feedback on a track, so you post it here. You get feedback, just not on Soundcloud, but probably more meaningful. What's the problem? If your goal was to get feedback, and you got it, why do you want someone to post it here AND on Soundcloud?
