Saxophone AU plugin for logic?

Been searching for the last couple days for a, preferably free, sax plugin for logic. i had a couple for fruity a couple years back but i honestly cant find shit for logic. why doesnt logic support vsts ;( anyone in the know about this? ps. a tenor sax would be lovely :mrgreen:

If you want a realistic sounding sax you have three main choices.

a) a sample pack that contains loops that you could cut up, re arrange, (if there's enough notes used) try to create your own multisample instrument on the EXS24

b) Use a ready made multisampled instrument which you can load into a sampler

c) Invest into one of these mutlisampled engine-powered instrument plug ins in AU format -

1. Garritan Jazz and Big Band
2. East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra (I'm sure one of the editions has a Sax)
3. Hundreds of others

The reason I recommend these options in particular is because a sax is a very passionate instrument with more expression than a lot of instruments and is therefor hard to replicate with a simple set of samples, so getting a free plug in is very unlikely because of the amount of time that goes into making it.

To be honest, your best bet would to be to find a sax player, I bet you anything you have one locally, musicians are always looking for tracks to get involved with!
