Thanks for the feedback man, I really like your song.. Don't know if you intended it to be, but, summer vibes man, summer vibes. I like it a lot.

Changed it up a little, let me know if I'm borderline spamming because I change my songs up so much...

Criticism on the actual sound quality mixing part? or the arranging mixing part? Sound quality sounded pretty good to me but I don't exactly have a sub woofer so it's hard for me to tell with sub bass. The drum intro could be a little shorter maybe, I was ready for the beat to drop about 35-40 seconds before it happened... yet the slow build up fits with the style of the song, but maybe a building up sensation or some random samples during that first drum intro could help, it kinda seems to flatten the build up... unless you are going for a more minimal genre... Nevertheless it's pretty dope!

Yeah im with this guy. I recon it needs some synkro style 2-step beats. Subtle but nice

Nice track, but i reckon the vocal sample "rage... pure rage" is unnecessary as this track to me does the opposite. The drums feel like they are on a straight tip. Try Moving the snare from the on 3 to on 4? does that make sense?

@ Depone - That song is nice. Real busy and well put together, this is the knida thing i like to listen to. I think the bass sits real well, nice and heavy. The only thing i would think about doing is moving the snare up in the mix a little tiny bit to make it hit a bit harder. But really only thought about it coz u asked about the drums  Very nice :D

Hey guys,
Just wanted to get this in while i have a chance. I'll post some more feedback later on tonight.

This is a new track i started working on today. Not sure how it's going to take shape just yet, i plan on doing a bit more and really experimenting with my bass sounds. Not sold on the vocal samples i have in there at the moment.. Not sure why. Any suggestions or feedback welcome and appreciated :P .

ey this is the shit man i like where its going so far. only thing i can say to add, since it kinda reminds me of a Darkstar rmx or something other i feel u need like a voice. idk if the original had one but try sampling it if it did or just add something smooth with a vocoder over

I'm pretty new to the whole producing thing. These are the 2 tracks that I've been working on this month. Still very much works in progress but I only get so much time to work on this stuff since I'm at work most of the time right now. These are 2 of my first attempts at dubstep. I was going for more of a subbass sound rather than the more modern wobble heavy stuff.

First one is pretty good, chilling vibes and you brought in a nice 2nd lead at 2.03. Mixing could be better but you just gotta practice that alot I guess..

Imo the second sound wildmad :D really strong bass going there, everything seems to fit well. GJ

For my track I chose the moderns heavy stuff once more, check it out (unmixed and far from finished)

@ weedcali.listened to the tune in ur sig, wip, and liked it bass sounds nice and quite an agressive sound.be good to hear the finished version

@tripwire.thanks man for listening again, kinda get wat u mean about the snare and will work on it til it suits, listened to ur track and its sounds sweet, like the build up etc, maybe the intro a bit too long, one more thing is just that male voice synth running through put me off,use something different imo,but simlarly atmospheric maybe, good tune otherwise, look forward to hearing it finished.cheers

anyone else fancy a listen

@JBE yea agree on the vibes of the first one, that 2nd synth that comes in later is nice, and that 2nd track of yours has a nice feel to it, i like how it builds into it.

@engol not really my kinda dubstep but def sounding good for a first beat, keep it up!

Here's mine, got a final mix back from the engineer so it should be sounding nice now! some nice synths and big bass drop in this one! feedback appreciated!

Hey guys, just posting some more feedback as promised from my post b4 :D

@ Donpablo - Hey man the track is sounding good. I like the flow so far, nice and stompy, would be awesome if you opened it up after a bit for a real dancy part, especially with that awesome sounding bass. Love the mechanical future robot sound. Look forward to the finished track

@ Kontigobeats - Really nice mellow track. Nice and progressive so i wasn't bored ever. I haven't really heard anything like that before. To me it kinda sounded a bit like an epic old skool video game track. And that kinda gave it a strange vibe which i also enjoyed 8) Only thing i would suggest is for the build at about 2:05. I would have the LFO speed a bit slower and maybe even leave the automation off until it kicks back in with the drums. That (in my oppinion) would just make that second drop harder and keep the bass automation a bit fresher for the finish. The track sounds good, big sound, i'm particularly fond of the snare. keep it up! PEACE!

Got a track im trying to shape and would love idea's on the structure. If you get a vibe off the track and have an idea where it should head (eg, dancy-er, harder, weirder) then type that shit down! ha ha.

Listen to Strange Matter @ http://soundcloud.com/olux/strange-matter :e:

Have a listen from the 2:00 min point (where the bass flows) if you like, the start will be re-written once i've found the feel of tha track.

Hey. Here's a new mix of the stripped back 808 thing I've been working on. The mix is approaching finished status and I've beefed it up with more atmos and a fatter kick but I'm still wondering about the parts and structure (wrong way round, I know). Could anyone tell me what it's missing, if anything? Think the second half might be a bit long, I dunno....

Will leave some more feedback tomorrow morning, I'm off to bed... :t:

Cheers!

(PS. Soundcloud appears to have raped my sub once again, and I even bounced it with 1 dB to spare. Though it seemed to sound ok on my work PC last time. Flash player on OS X maybe?)
