1. Varying drums and bass in a track. i tend to keep to one strong rhythm all the way thru without many breaks, rests etc...
2. As soon as i think i have finished a track, I quickly post it to as many DJ contacts as i have, before really checking and double checking the track. Most of the time, i go back and change things which makes me feel i have given incomplete tracks to people.
3. cant think of one this early

1) Getting my ideas down fast enough. Getting there now with Cubase, Templates FTW!
2) Keeping focused during the mixdown.
3) Keeping focused during the mixdown.

You can also add "uploading a track and deleting it straight away because it either needs more work/I think it's shit" to the list.

Keeping the track interesting.
How to make the second drop flow, but original.
Power.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

mixdowns - not that its really difficult, i just dont really enjoy doing them
focus - i get easily distracted when working on tunes so they often take me ages
not being too self indulgent is something i also have to work at

Resisting the urge to overuse Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V
Make decent sounding bass
Breaking out of the same production pattern i.e. always start with drums, then play some stuff over the top, rinse, repeat...
The other thing I struggle with, though not necessarily a hard part of production per se, is taking time to just sit through stuff, sampling. Because my time is always at a premium, I find it difficult to do something with it that isn't producing, but ultimately would help with my production, if you know what I mean?

1) Finding the next incidental sound or effect, this is probably due to not having spent ages collecting samples from films or building patches so whenever I get to a point where I think there to be a noise or effect I need to start desperately hunting for something or trying to program something appropriate in a synth. Basically I need to spend weeks just doing some sound designed but I'm on very limited time and want to make tunes.
2) Writing melodies which aren't complete & utter cheese, I like there to be melody in my music but it always ends up sounding cheesy as fuck. Think it's probably because I have knowledge of music theory but only limited knowledge.
3) Appreciating space, I've spent so much time trying to fill every gap with abusive sound that I really struggle to be proud of anything I make where there's more space, I wish I wasn't like this.

Intros.
Atmospherics.
My top end, it can be a bit too bright sometimes.

1. Laying the foundations then thinking "what this needs now is..... er....."
2. Writing dissonant and atonal stuff. Everything I do comes out sounding too "nice", chord wise
3. Writing songs instead of tweaking kick drums

3. finishing older tunes that are there just missing a small part or mixdown.
Exactly this, actually.

1. intros.
2. being not lazy about touching up synth or just the track in general.
3. the whole "what to add next" part, which I guess ties in with finishing a track.
