Post by jespere » Thu Apr 29, 2010 12:05 am

It all started 2 years ago when i didnt have a clue on how to make wobble bass.

My friend said it couldnt be that hard, so he made a vst plugin.
He have worked on it for a long time and now he have released it.

I thought this would be a great forum to share the news with all of you

* 2 oscillators: Each oscillator has 5 different waveforms.
* 3 voices true unison with stereo.
* ADSR envelope generator.

I won't hate. Thanks for this. I'll give it a try. :t:
This. I basically hate anything with that "brutal electro" sound; it sounds all like HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL

Guess you have a point here. but I still don't like the idea of a "wobble generator" lol.
Wobblin' supposed to be an art D: IMO atleast.

whatever's made with it is always gonna be art, even if it encourages people to make a lot of stuff you don't really like- people will make stuff you like from it too :)

i mean, the stuff we're making now is so much easier to pull off than it was 10 years ago... it's still art. and i'm kind of glad i have the technology now to pull my ideas out as fast as i can!

So I just played around with the Nocturne bass synth, and while there are some interesting sounds & possibilities, the quality of the sound might need to be cleaned up a little in future versions; the signal is too hot right out of the box with its default output level [I'm using Reaper, so this may vary from DAW to DAW] and the tone is a little muddy and lacking definition. Maybe you guys can A/B it with spectral analysis against a synth with a known "big" or "full" sound to see what the curve is like and try and dial it in more (maybe TAL-ELEK7RO?) However, maybe in a signal chain with some other FX you could mitigate that somewhat too.

As it is now I don't know if I'd use it as a primary bass for anything, but might try it in tandem with some other basses.

Thanks for sharing, too! :mrgreen:

yeah, i was talking about people literally pissing about with lfos live as a musical form. not dubstep, like noise/contemporary classical/power electronics dudes. some people seem to like that stuff

well when you get into electro-acoustic style territory i suppose you can argue shitting in a mic'd up toilet is an artform. personally i'd see the result of their pissing about is art but not so sure that the process is, sure they'd argue different though.
