tech-tech-techy broken decky

Post by ahier » Fri Apr 30, 2010 6:16 pm

So i had to record a mix to get my name out to them promoters out there, if anyone thinks its overly good/overly shit let me know, or even if its overly mediocre.

Soundcloud

My stanton t-60s have an annoying habit of varying what pitch they are at by slight fractions, but i had to get a mix up so ignore the slight skitters as i fix the dodgy turntables in the mix and listen to that BAD BWOI SELECTION

t/l

Chernobyl & Praga - Balanca (renaissance man mix)
Jack in the City - Jet (No competition mix)
Bassjackers & Apster - Klambu
Round Table Knights - calypso
Abel ramos & Mark Simmons - Cava (Mark Simmons mix)
Laidback Luke & Diplo - Hey! (Sidney Samson mix)
Tim Berg - Alcoholic (Avicii edit)

please please please, i will suck anyones cock for just a bit of feedback re - recording quality, selection, mixing (there is the odd fuck up, you should see the space i have to work in) and just general advice on how to further my djing skills because i keep feeling like ive come up against a wall that i cant cross.

Peace

i thought the track selection was awesome the whole way through, but thats subjective i guess.(except that vocal sample but we've already had a disagreement on that:lol: )

i didnt notice any obvious pitch changes and it sounds well mixed to me but tbh i was too busy enjoyin the songs!
iwould cut off the lil rewind at the start tho, it seems unnescesary and theres an audible buzz over the top of it.

haha safe thanks for the feedback, unfortunately the annoying buzz is a problem to do with my laptops audio input, which i cannot work out how to fix. i am overwhelmed with a large amount of shitty equipment so this is the best i can do atm :( i just wanted something i could show promoters to prove i could mix two tracks together!

i thought i had edited the rewind bit, ah shucks
