New Tune + Mastering help please

Post by iag » Fri Feb 09, 2007 3:43 pm

Hello

Check the Link below and have a listen to my new tune. I spent some time making it, attempted the mix and the master and ended up with a load of mud. It seems what little fatness I have, is lost in the mixing/mastering process.

The tune below is probably my 5th attempt so far.

Anyway please have a listen and let me know what you think. I think the intro is a little weak and i've listened to the rest of it far too much

Cheers

Doesn't sound too bad at all! I think you might want to bring the mids up a bit to fill the track out - There's a gap between the lows and highs making it seem a little thin. The highs seem a little bit over-excited/harsh and could do with some massaging. If you're getting mud, try rolling off the bass below 40hz. Also, muddiness occurs at about 250hz. A little cut here works wonders.

But, this is just one opinion. My stuff isn't exactly perfectly mixed by any standard.

Nice track.
