OMG you guys it's all dubstep you know geez! just because you don't like it doesn't mean it sucks, you guys are all so closed I should start by pointing out that I did get the message. I know a lot of people get pretty pissed off over 10 page debates about… well nothing really. On the other hand I think I’d prefer a forum filled with arguments that have been argued over time and time again with the odd helpful thread here and there than a forum filled with nothing because everything’s already been said and done. I’m guessing this thread is aimed at that fml mt.eden bitchfest, personally that’s the first time I’ve seen a real debate (despite how one-sided it was) about mt.eden before, although I’m sure there are many more out there. I agree that a lot of these threads are complete pisstakes where we just reiterate old arguments and have no intelligent discussions but still, it’s a forum, a public forum, we can expect this shit and considering how much I’ve learnt from everyone in my short time here I’m willing to put up with this shit if it means every now and then we get a decent thread going, peace out guys, big up production forum.

This makes sense... At the very least, people shouldn't rely on "Go to the Production Bible" as a default answer to questions because some of the stuff is out of date on there and it doesn't include the answer to every question that people are asking... You could at least give people the benefit of the doubt 'cause let's be honest, most people will just go straight to posting their question without reading forum rules...

See when people or even I post a thread and people are like "google it/search it" I feel like saying "but why, we may as well shut DSF down"

because although the original point of the thread might be obviously remedied and answered or whatever, who knows where it will digress/what useful knowledge will be shared/etc etc.

Let the discussion flow. But pointless troll/spam threads should be closed.

I mean. Yeah people are new to the board, and it IS simple to search the topic they might need, but I want to be able to discuss and digress and debate on their topic.

So again, we shouldn't be too hard on these people that are making obvious threads.
