Everytime I get a good drum pattern down and begin to work on that bassline, I hear another song in my head, and that's it, I'm fucked for the rest of the night.
Everytime I go to create something and imagine a melody in my head, I can only heard the one from the song I'd heard before.
Anyone else get this problem? How do you get round it?
kthx.

Re: MAAAAJOR MENTAL RAGE
Sometimes listening to a lot of music around the time you're producing can be a problem. I dont really listen to much music (especially dubstep) when I get into heavy production phases, unless I'm studying song structure or something.

Yeah, I can see how it'd make a difference. I've not been producing long, hence why I'm a new member to the forum, but I seem to have gotten to grips with it pretty well, just struggle to get certain patterns out my head!
