Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for APRIL, 2010
Here's something I just started working on yesterday. It's chillout/downtempo with dubstep elements but I don't think it could be classified specifically as dubstep. Id say it's much more chillout than anything else.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for APRIL, 2010
Well for a start you could just try turning them down a tad and then cut the very higher end frequencies. A little dab of light reverb with a short decay or a quick, snappy delay would help a lot.a.paul wrote:@mashmash

i like the idea of the tune, i think you need to turn the drums up a bit though and maybe move around some kicks to keep everything flowing well!
digging it though, cant wait to hear more progress!

@charliefoy
I'd say the only weakness to that is the kicks. Placement is a bit klunky. Also after 2.15 it gets a bit generic.

Would you suggest using less kicks?
Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for APRIL, 2010
Yeah I always find that kicks should be used to propel the track and keep it going. Maybe change the kick on the 3rd beat to a clap or something. This is more down to personal opinion though.charliefoy wrote:Cheers ill work on thatnruen wrote:@charliefoy

Would you suggest using less kicks?
