Die Antwoord... Thoughts....

Post by Kaneda » Mon May 03, 2010 12:17 am

Personally, I think they are interesting, but not that fun to listen to. If I could understand them, I might have a higher opinion of them!

Die Antwoord are big here in SA at the moment - Waddy Tudor Jones AKA Ninja has been a legend on the rap scene and has always dared to be different from his early days with The Original Evergreen, Max Normal and a host of others.

With that said you guys should also check out Jack Parow - i guess most will be lost in translation but also reaching legend status here in SA

I really liked the Constructus Corporation's album, The Ziggurat, but not Die Antwoord's stuff as much. Too intentionally "raw". IMO, the Ziggurat is a brilliant concept album, and fun to listen to as well.

I can understand most of it, and yes it's fun. :P

They are playing on the 25th edition of Pukkelpop in August, which is already sold out. A lot of music criticy (musicians) overhere name them as a hot tip and I can only agree.

I think they're great, some of there music is a little weird but not necessarily bad. Plus there accents are fuckin sick.
