Congratulations, you've got average mental stability!kidshuffle wrote:Closest thing I have to OCD is cutting my goddamn nails almost every day. Couldn't see myself having it though.
I get really bad anxiety at work when my boss is around, or just at malls. I used to really get anxious around large groups of people but DJing has gotten done with that for the most part
fuck off

Re: OCD anyone?
I hate people who say they have OCD because they have a habit of doing something, something which is often very normal. That pisses me off. I wash every morning I have OCD
Re: OCD anyone?
ennit. everyone gets anxious. everyone seeks comfort in routine and familiarity. You are not mentally unstable.Dead Rats wrote:I'm quite narrow-minded when it comes to mental illness, innit. Too many attention-seeking wanksandwiches claiming they're CRAAZZZYYY for me to believe alot of it.

Re: OCD anyone?
I suffer from OCD and have done for as long as i can remember now. I go through good stages where it hardly affects me and then i go through bad stages where it can take me half an hour just to get into bed (it seems to effect me worse at night than in the day). It's a pain in the arse to live with, and the worst part about it for me is that i know what im doing is pointless and wont have any effect on my life so to speak but somewhere, that little voice still says do it
I even get it when i mix.

I'm bummed out today, must be depression!
Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes I'm sad, I must be bipolar!

Re: OCD anyone?
So many people claim to be OCD. Some girl I was with a long time ago was obsessed with diagnosing herself with illnesses. Once she spent an hour talking to my best friend about her apparent OCD that came down to needing things on a certain number although my entire time with her I didn't notice this. Then she was aspergus, which she obviously wasn't because she loved being the center of attention. I think mental illness is a fad. Although I do feel like I exhibit signs of anxiety. It takes me ages to feel comfortable at college and when I'm in situations where they're more people I barely know then I do know, I find it dreadful. When I'm walking about I feel like everyones watching me or I look wierd etc. Don't know if thats social anxiety though.
Re: OCD anyone?
I feel like people are watching me 70% of the time.
This is normally because they are.

Door handles in public places make me sick. Especially the ones in pub toilets since 99% of people I see in there don't wash their hands. Fucking unhygienic barbarians.
maybe his magical jew carpenter compelled him to speak out
Re: OCD anyone?
In all fairness, I don't shit and piss on my hands. I doubt other people do too.

Re: OCD anyone?
Funny thing is I generally find happy go lucky people really annoying, not that I can stand whingers but "troubled" people are often more intelligent, driven and passionate, all of my closest friends (and me) would be classified as depressives. I don't doubt that there's massive over diagnosis of mental illness but I know from bitter experience that it's a very real thing.WhosZena? wrote:There are no words to describe how much these people annoy me.Helix [Delay] wrote:I bathe, must be OCD!gnome wrote:I hate people who say they have OCD because they have a habit of doing something, something which is often very normal. I agree that people who have been through alot are often more intelligent, and I dont deny mental illness is common; 1 in 3 (Probably more)have suffered from it at some point. And yes it can be damaging and painful.mohan wrote:Funny thing is I generally find happy go lucky people really annoying, not that I can stand whingers but "troubled" people are often3 more intelligent, driven and passionate, all of my closest friends (and me) would be classified as depressives. These are the reasons it pisses me of when emo kids claim to be depressed etc. when its clearly not the case.

If I go with a mate we will both be standing at the door waiting for the other one to open it, once we stood there about 2 minutes waiting until someone came in.Hibbie wrote:100% AGREE, I use my sleeve to open doors in publicdubmatters wrote:Door handles in public places make me sick. Re: OCD anyone?
I've not officially got OCD, as in, I've not been to see a doctor about it or been diagnosed with it. However, I do have like things symetrical and straight, in order etc and I would actually go out of my way to correct something. I've always said that my mum has it, as she's forever cleaning and hooverin about, 4/5 times a day...
Dark angel, fall from the heavens above, send me an angel to heal my heart from being in love... After all of the love for you, in my life, but it wasn’t good enough for you, I can’t take no more tears from my eyes.... But it wasn’t good enough for you, I can't take no more hurt from that time....
