Half the problem is that people ae lazy to do searches so they repost...but I've often found these reposts bring new information anyway.

well...

this place has lost its credibility completely

and that isn't a good look
One hundred percent with you on this one.

Its really gone to bits. And im not blaming the new influx of younger forum members at all.
Im just blaming the ones who pipe up giving production advice they think is the golden rule (ei sidechain, wobblez etc . . . ) and their own tracks are, mind my french, WANK.

Im serious. Sorry to reiterate in the lifted music forum Idea, but they have a general production section, and then a private STUDIO section which is moderated and quality controlled from the start. Sorry to say, but i get the feeling that bigger names dont post here because its taken as a joke, sifting thru the rubbish to occasionally find a diamond in the rough.

Anyone with me?

Did you all get trolled by Sirius in an anti-troll thread?

Hahahaha.

My general thoughts on this thread are :i:

As to the how do I make producer x sound threads. Excepting the datsixision threads, I like those threads a lot. I don't think people are just trying to be that producer, but hearing a sound that causes you to want to understand how the sound is made, as a producer, is admirable. My boy Serox is always posting those threads/questions. His desire to nail the sound exactly is what it is going to take to get his production chops up to par to actually make a contribution to music. He's not trying to be producer x but he wants to be as good or better than producer x,y and z. Plus, in attempting to respond to those threads, I've discovered new techniques and software and processes and new tracks, and new sounds, and forced me to listen more closely to what I thought I was hearing and generally the whole process is fruitful on all levels.

DSF as a whole, is now part of my creative process. So I don't know that I would want to change it.

I don't know, maybe you guys that are so unhappy around here should go off to some producer Valhalla forum? Just seems like the conversations might be stultifyingly boring. Maybe not. -q-

I like it here.

Can you post links to those troll threads, I didn't see them.

I know serox will be posting up his trax soon enough.

As for me, I don't make tracks. I'll be dead soon enough, and I'll be damned if I spend my time doing something I don't enjoy doing. So don't hold your breath, unless you enjoy that high buzzing feeling.

Its not that bad here, but yeah it has been better.

The reason this forum has lost credability is because of the stupid pictures of camels with afro's and In jokes.

Everyday someone on this planet hears dubstep for the first time and its probably a Datsik tune!!!

This forum should be a great resource for new people to come and find out about Dubstep and how its made! But its not!!!!!

Forum's are community's of global people joined by the interest in a perticular subject. If you get all your questions answered by Google how do you ever become part of the community!

The search function on every forum is the same "how do I make Wobble" gives you a list of every time the word "How" has been used. Search should just search Thread titles!!!

Anyway BOTTOM LINE: If the thread title says "how do i sound like Datsik". If your not gonna give the guy some help and point him in the right direction.....DONT OPEN THE THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noway. As soon as people realize I dont have a clue what I am talking about I am in trouble! :D
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Not heard of that forum but sounds interesting. Of course there are some up's and down's to the idea, l.e. the mod (S) who listens to the music may personally not like it but others may do. Am not going to talk about the up's and down's, am sure your all intelligent people to work them out, and make your own judgement about them.

I think some people just need to grown up man, most times when i logo onto DSF and go into the production section, the first page is just pointless, rumble and waffling stuff ( in most cases) . Sorry if it sounds harsh but its the truth, non- needed threads created, which defers from the original point/concept of a PRODUCTION forum.

To find a good thread on DSF is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Solution : don't open daft threads or just dont post in them. Like someone said the trolls will then piss off then!
A brand new song!

This is an irrelevant arguement anyway because the google custom search for DSF returns relevant stuff at the top anyway.

Or perhaps datsik sounds?

i like this idea! can this be implemented to a private section? would be nice to see a WIP or dubs section that wasn't filled with newb shit, too.

yeah but think about it. alpacas would've never existed had this place been nerd-talk only and tightly monitored. think of all the cumulative hours wasted posting those alpaca pictures and tell me the giggles about how ugly those fuckin things are wasn't worth it!

yes but then there's us old foggies who have been on this forum for more than a year or two who remember when this section was combined with the dubs section (yes it worked for awhile) and not flooded with shit and people actually took time to look for a thread before just going to production forum, not reading the stickies or anything on the front page and hitting new topic.
seriously like this datsik and wobble threads, half the time when people start a new one there is already a couple of topics already on the first or second page as an example.
