It's quite good for an asthma type chap like me up in Scotland with our smoking ban. Except for now you can smell BO, piss from the toilets, stale spilled beer and cleaning products which the smoke used to mask. Swings and roundabouts!

innit, if people are so fussy about the (completely unproven) health risks in second hand smoke, what are they doin gettin pissed down the pub!

what about the dangers of second hand drinking without having a cigarette for 5 hours? Bare angry pissheads!

Yep. Mind you, you can always insist that non-smokers sit inside and leave all the outdoors tables to the smokers.

Having said that though, the outdoors tables in built up areas will probably cause more damage to your lungs than sitting in the pub.

How's this gonna work in clubs though - if you've got to go outside for a snout but they refuse readmission. Could be a very expensive night for some...
Hmm....

Last time i went to Glasgow some of my mates were playing at the Soundhaus. It was hilarious. Queing up to go out for a cigarette was jokes. The queue to get out was bigger than the one coming in. They were operating a wristband policy. Bouncers were chucking people INTO the club as soon as they had finished their smokes. Normally im getting thrown out for blazin' green.

Would love to see how they plan to operate at somewhere like Fabric.

Getting pissed down a pub? Fair enough if it was a tobacconists or something but why do you think there is a natural connotation between pubs and smoking? If i'm out raving or whatever i expect to come home smelling like an ashtray and i'm not fussed, but if i want to have a bite to eat and a few bevies i don't appreciate having to fucking change everyday cos the smoke clings to my clothes.

this sounds ridiculous!
by the looks of it you go out for a night and will end up a. q-ing for a beer, then b. q-ing for a smoke, then back to a, then back to b, etc etc....
I dont know how much music i would actually get to hear! is a shame man, there was a time you could smoke on a bus, on a train, on a flight! and it didnt harm my granparents!!!! hehe ;)
(i do smoke too many cigs i admit that, but laws against green hasnt stopped me smoking that ;) )
