I hope this doesn't get misinterpreted.. I just find it amazingly funny that a poster asks for "chilling" tunes, people reply with some of the "deepest" stuff, yet the original poster gets back to thank everyone & posts a track made by the most dissed "beatmaker" after borgore on this forum..

I was about to post Pinch - "Qawwali" but first decided to check the entire page2 on the thread in case someone had mentioned it before. Could never imagine what I was about to witness..
Thanks for explaing, I didn't get the joke... seems like I made a pretty stupid mistake by posting that vid
But why do you guys dislike it? I'm all new to this whole dubstep scene, so excuse me for knowing almost nothing about it :o ;)
I simply heard this song and likes it very much :p

It's good that you enjoy a tune. That's what music's about. People on here usually dislike this kind of tracks because this sound has become generic, and allot of raves and club nights tend to focus on this end, since it is an assumption (false I believe) that newcomers to the scene are more likely to prefer the more aggressive tunes. This means that in allot of cases more diverse artists who have truly amazing music to spin, don't get booked (or don't get the bookings they deserve) and partygoers end up missing a whole lot of good music that is out there, in favor of generic and boring sounds when heard for more than 1,5 hr.

I'd say check out both ends of the spectrum and try to be diverse. Diverse sounds are what will keep you interested in a music genre, not 1-month utube generic hits.

Enjoy the music for what it is and don't go into a "what's hot" kind of thinking. Most inspiring tunes are probably not "hot" on every blog, forum or youtube (some are). Find out what you like but keep searching.

Also try to go to a rave (even a small one) with a decent soundsystem

and try to give a listen to the tunes mentioned by the posters above. they're perfect examples

have fun

dopocc did an excellent job explaining but simply put, we don't like Mt. Eden on this forum cos he's crap. Furthermore, everyone here has a fixation about talking about how crap Mt. Eden is.

Also, keep with us, if you keep listening to dubstep for a while you'll realize how shit Mt. Eden is.
