iPod Help Please!!

Post by kins83 » Mon Feb 12, 2007 9:09 pm

My iPod nano is knackered. It keeps getting a symbol showing a folder and an exclamation mark. I've tried installing the latest version of iTunes and restarting and restoring the iPod, but iTunes keeps telling me the iPod is corrupted and advises me to restart and restore it. I''ve looked on the support website and that has been no help!!

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Have you tried resetting it? Forgot how, but when I first got my iPod, it caused drama and then I reset and all was well.

When you open itunes there should be a "restore" option, provided you're connected to the internet, which should restore back to factory settings.

Is it a 1st or 2nd gen nano?

holding menu and play at the same time will reset it.. you can also flip the hold switch back and forth a few times as well....

My ipod started doing this. Like the others say, try totally restore it. That will mean everything on it will get erased. And the original settings will be put back on.

In my case this didnt work. So I went on the apple website. Go to the support section and follow instructions. If it still doesnt work after trying what they sahere, send an email to apple care.

Depending how old your ipod is they send you a special box to send the ipod back to apple in. Then they either fix it, or send you a new one!
