House/electro production = ?

Is there room for sub bass in house music? Electro? Is there a certain way to do it or are the offbeats the best place for em? Thanks guyz

Definitely is space for a sub, just have to careful how you mix it

-make sure your kick and sub both don't occupy the same frequency ranges (if it is, use an eq to cut certain frequencies so they don't mask eachother)
-could use sidechain compression to make the bass 'pump'
-make sure it's not too loud!

If you can, I posted up a WIP on soundcloud just looking for some feedback on my mixing and mastering on it. Its a house production or something around there. I threw some sub in there but not much, It was crazy how much i had to level it down to get it to sound good on my shitty subwoofer. If you could skope it out and tell me what you think needs work thatd be sick. thanks for the reply, i wasnt expecting one :P

ya man that works in that song. soudns like it sits pretty well. The track in my sig is a House/Electro song with plenty of bass. I threw a sub under the main bass too although you might not be able to tell
