Even if you say its really shit, I would appreicte it if you said how its shit and give me your opinion on how i could improve the shitness lol.

Thankyouuuuuuu!

So, I'm completely new to this genre. Started listening and producing dirty dubstep a couple of weeks ago. Heres a snippet from a remix of Bring Me The Horizon that I am working on. Don't know if I'm gonna take away the vocals and make my own track. What do you think? Keep in mind this is my first production.

Soundcloud

Chazzleman: I think you need to work alot on this one. The kick need more punch. The levels needs to be adjusted. Some sounds are way too loud, and your bass synth don't give much bass, actually. Need more lower frequencies. But, it's a good start!

Sorry my bad english. I'm norwegian.

It's all about EQ-ing and compression, my friend ;)

Since I'm new, I'm probably not the best to give specific advice.

@NRHc for a first track its def not bad, but think it needs a better mix coz it all sounds a bit flat if you know what i mean? the pads you use have quite nice sound, not really feeling that harsh bass that comes in around 40 seconds though, seems a bit out of nowhere. keep at it though!

a.paul quite like this one, nice kinda jazzy feel, think maybe some reverb or delay coud sound nice on the piano. good percussion rhythm and sounds but maybe turn them down a little. sounds nice so far!

heres my track some nice synths and melodic bassline, not mixed yet though. does it need a sub bass or does that bass fill the low end enough?
also do you think i need to add anything else to it..like does it get boring? all feedback appreciated!

@Skurk Digin this one! I like it but I think yer right, maybe without the vocals or maybe just clean them up a bit.
@NRHC not bad at all for the first track! the base needs some work but your getting the right idea for sure!
@A.paul I love jaz and this one has that nice jazzy feel to it but like all tracks in this post it needs some toutch ups.

Would still love some feedback on my tracks!

@Phantom: Lovin both of em. The 'jungle vibes' one is so dope, I'd be tempted to not do too much more to it at all (aside from making it a bit longer obviously). Maybe a simple breakdown in the middle and then have the whole track come back in with a little more variation and some light stereo hp wobbles to play with more space. This is all personal preference though, and it might not need any more fx cause I really like the tight and compact feel. Real nice.

@a.paul: Not what I usually listen to, but still real vibey. I think maybe a really light/warm reverb on the sax or perhaps even a custom delay setting could help the track feel smoother. Definitely nice as is though, but maybe a bit of variation on the bass line (I assume that'll come later in the track when finished).

@Bainsound: The dubstep track is yuuuup. I think the buildup could possibly be more effective if on the percussion loop you wrap it all up and cut the low frequencies and play with it phasing slowly in and out somehow... or something. Just because right now it sounds sort of out of place with the vibe of the pads during the buildup and stuff. Personal pref, though.

Need feedback here... I'm wondering whether to keep eq'ing and develop the bass line more or just scratch the whole thing before I waste more time on it.

Venture- I agree completely, thats one thing I'm going to be focusing on in this track. Thanx for the feedback! Your bassline sounds sick so far imo. I think yer track is prety solid as is. maybe add some more automations to the basslines for a sweet change up later on in the track. Otherwise I'd sport that track for sure man!

@ phantom - love the jungle breaks man im a big jungle fan, and that lead adds alot of energy. yeah its nice man.
@astral - yeah man sick drums, nice mid bass as well. got a futuristic vibe goin on, sounds good so far to me.
@a.paul - love the chillin intro, such nice vibes. that sax needs abit of reverb but other that that its sweeeet. if it were me i'd use a different snare, not sure it fits with the feel of the track. but yeah i really like it man

Just finished the initial layout and ideas for a new track, not quite sure on it myself, would be good to hear some other peoples opinions on it.

Have a listen and see what you guys think.

Cheers.

@fassyman - my thoughts on your track, hmm I dunno I really like it personally, its very different and kind of hypnotic. Your kick is very tom-like I dunno if thats on purpose or what but maybe it could use a little more punch? just a suggestion tho maybe try it out. Otherwise I think this is really good and atmospheric. Mix sounds pretty good maybe the bass is a little overpowering but not too bad like I said.

@STYV - your drums seem to be lost in the mix there man, I really enjoy the vibes otherwise less dark more kind of happy stuff. But yea i dont think your drums have enough presence, also the first midrange bass I heard could use some eqing or something cus really i think that piano thing is blotting out a lot of your sound. Mayeb even your trying to get too much going on at once in there cus parts sound a little cluttered for my taste. I do really enjoy your transitions tho, very smooth.

Here is DNB track my buddy and I started on last night, its wonky as fuck but tell me what you think?!>!?!?!
