These arent really 'hip-hop' so much as trip-hop, glitch-hop, or abstract, but, Im gonna post them here anyway, caus eI always forget this subforum is even here...

Soundcloud

I bet alot fo people, are gonna highly dislike those...

IDC....

In my nostalgic ass mind, I came up on trip-hop and left field...

And remember when shit wasnt maximal/crunk/pop and was still awesome.

i like, its good feeling the tracks. feeling general glitch hop, your comin up on a darker side there. not sure where id place my work in progress:

Soundcloud

was influenced alot by gsy!be, started off as an incoherent 120 thing but i decided to add some hop to it so i took it down to 90 and changed it up a little. you may find it boring, not much happens till about halfway, but let i know what ya think.

gonna work on a bass to it too not best pleased with what there is at the moment

the guy above the post above me - cool tunes bro, very moody and muffled sounding, i like that

and to the guy above, cool tune bro, the drums could be a bit louder, i'm a fan of long intros and patience, but some people might say that intro is a little bit long maybe

here are some tunes i've been doing..

and there are some more normal hip-hop instrumentals on there, and some garage etc..

Well, this is probably no the right place to post this, haha, but I just finished making my second hip-hop instrumental ever.
It's not as digital as the tracks that have been posted here and that is why I think this might not be the right place to post this, but anyways.
I'd appreciate it if someone gave me some feedback on this:
Soundcloud

I didn't use any oscillators or VSTs, only my own 46GB sample collection
I'm not keen on sample packs, so I sample sounds from '60s and '70s jazz/funk/disco songs myself.

This is my first hip-hop instrumental:
Soundcloud

So.. what does DSF think?
Hip-Hop had the advantage of being born before the age of information (the internet).
It had time to develop naturally into the complex subculture it is today. Dubstep didn't have a chance.
If Hip-Hop was a fully developed husky feared by millions, then Dubstep is the inbred chihuahua on steroids incapable of living but adored by billions.

Thanks, man! I really appreciate that. I am working with almost absolutely no motivation here, because I can't find anyone who'd give me proper feedback on my stuff, so thank you for the compliment! =)
The only friends I had have become assholes since they got addicted to marijuana (who ever denies the fact that it's addictive can go fuck a rake) and they kept telling me that I suck at making music and that I should get back to graphics (I'm a graphic designer).
...I know I have a strong lack of mastering skills, I can hear that, but I don't think I suck.. :|

i get you man, as much as i hate to admit it, im pretty sure im addicted. Not as bad now but it was before, and even though the high began to wear off i still did it just because.

either way, who cares? you could be completly shit, as long as you enjoy making the music you shouldnt let anyone stop you doing something you find fun

this ones sick man, really like the drums and general sampling. only thing i can say is it does sound like a bad quality recording (just really grainy), and i cant tell if your doing that on purpose or not. still nice vibes. I dont give the greatest advice cause I aint the best technically, just goin on how the tunes strike me, and this one stikes me :t:

hanyways ive switched up my old tune and made more progress, check it, the actual "drop" is like after 4 minuits in. still. experiments n shit:

Cheers Man, appreciate it. Yep, it's meant to sound like that. I have to work hard to get it to sound loud and dirty like that. I prefer that to anything too clean sometimes.

Anyways, gotta newie up -
