Even Worse than the Noob + Wobble Threads...

Post by contakt321 » Mon May 17, 2010 4:23 pm

Yes, there is something worse than the noobs posting their tunes, or asking how to make teh filthy wobblez...

It's the forum regulars making posts complaining about noobs posting tunes or asking how to make teh filthy wobblez.

The solution is simple, it doesn't involve a new forum, more regulation, etc - just:
1. Post your own good threads!
2. Respond in other's good threads!
3. Don't respond to noob threads, or respond with a link to an older thread w/ the answer
4. We may need to give up our alpacas so sh_t threads fall off the page immediately (not sure if I can let our Alpacas go)

Seriously, if everyone stopped whining about the crappy threads, and encouraged better ones, this would resolve itself quickly.

This forum has devolved into the whiniest forum I am a member of over the last 2 months. Honestly, not much has changed, in fact - I think there are less threads about wobblez and feedback than there was 6-9 months ago, Sharmaji has done a great job, and this forum has always done a good job and self regulation.

Why all the whining?

Fuck knows why people take an online forum so seriously anyway and feel the need to pointlessly sustain action or act in manners to serve self-legislation

This production one is a great example of an imbalance of supply and demand especially when you consider how the majority of people reach a point where the simplistic statement of 'use your ears' is more than just a buzzword

Not dissing people, just saying, a tool for production research doesn't need such a custy hand-in-hand community... If anything, it begins to dilute a little. Fair enough it's a worthy cause to keep this forum going, just not to the sacrificial extent some recluses seem to opt for

What I'm saying is this forum should be more of a pleasant half-way house like a direct opposite to 'rehab' haha; people should become nourished for the musical world then leave on a voyage into it

If that ruffles anyones' feathers, maybe it's time you used them for flying ehhhh

Maybe we should just make a thread called "Whine about shit here", sticky it and be done with it...
