also might save us from having endless questions about wobbles and chainsaw synths.
so please don't be shy! Come on in.
thx

i think you should leave the "House Production" thread here in the house section.
fuck, sticky this one, it's already off to a good start.

Recommend Phonat and Nathan Fake, quite disco-ey but really interesting anyway, also recommend Alix Perez even if you don't like DnB.... Really good
Saw the john 00 one before, nice one mate.

like it. wasn't sure about the off-beat start but once the drums drop fully it starts rolling nicely and good vibe. like the bassine - maybe clean it up a bit? that's just personal preference though - and i'd maybe toughen up the drums a bit once it drops again. like your waiting for something else to happen. liked the techy fx that came in around the drop as well. hope that's of some use/interest! safe.

first housey thing i've made ever. Dont really think the bpm is correct in terms of genre "rules", for the people who swear by that. but we dont care do we now
Tell me what you think, i really enjoyed making it and think it's quite cool

cheers! well, write the tune with the mixdown in mind, i.e. try and fill the freq range bit by bit, layer by layer. keep it simple! when you come to mixdown, turn off all compressors & EQ & reset faders to zero then add the effects back in very carefully as you mix. bring the kick up so it peaks around -5db on the master then mix drums around that. don't use too much compression, and only then if you know what you are doing. have bass a bit quieter than you think you need it to be, and reference on a decent hi fi & also on headphones. etc
That is some nice simple helpful advice there. Cheers.
