i just wanna mention something i do with massive that gets endless cool effects. you might already do this, but try attatching LFO's to ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in Massive. try attatching an LFO to the vibrato rate AND depth if you're feelin likin it. set the vibrato rate at relatively slow and have the LFO opening to where it's going really fast (on the vibrato rate knob, the grey part of the LFO should be ending in the fast area and the green in the slow area). then set the LFO rate to slow and you get a kind of double wobble or gradual speed up wobble, cuz the vibrato goes faster as the LFO opens more. do the same thing to the depth, then go further by attatching a seperate LFO to the panning. attatch the first LFO to the amp of the seperate LFO, and make it to where the volume of the seperate LFO doesn't go up until the first LFO is open all the way. (the same thing as the vibrato rate only the amp is turned all the way to the left and you see no green line, only the grey from the LFO)
so try attatching LFO's to anything and get really creative, i've gotten some really crazy sounds doing this, you can take any simple noise and make it into a wild morphing moving monster haha.
for cool buildups, set the "noise" (in the bottom left corner) to metallic and attatch an LFO to the color and amp, automate the LFO rate, you got a cool sound. the same things can be done with envolopes as well, but its different. try setting an envolope to the OSC pitch, and tune it down or up. adjust the envolope attack decay sustain release, blah blah, until it sounds good. it should give crazy pitch drops / rises. detuning the pitch by just like .10 can make a difference too, surprisingly when used with phase.

Biggups Reso. Your one of my fave producers no doubt. learned a lot from this thread. Since most of what I wanted to know has been answered I was wondering if you have any more tunes coming that have the genre switch in em like My Revolution and Technetium? The way you switch it up is awesome

I'm having trouble getting stuck into producing, i have been wanting to really get into it but find i only have 60 min concentration time at once.
I've been telling myself for like 2 years now to dedicate myself to it.
I eventually get frustrated and go play some modern warfare 2
Do you have any advice to get stuck into producing ?

I would take writing music over MW (or any game) any day. When I come home from work I'm full with ideas and I can't wait to rock.

This thread has been a great read! I never come on here anymore as I'm bored of the jump up vs deep debates that crop up ever 5 min. In a scene that has so much variety and original forward thinking producers and dj's there's room for all styles!
Reso's production is top notch and he makes amazing music! Always look forward to hearing his tunes when I get sent them, and I've not once been disappointed! Hopefully we'll get that colab under way after I'm back from honeymoon, Alex

haha! Yeah love tinkering with that stuff. The 1st track on that Special Branch mix is me making bass sounds with a stylophone patched in to a Korg MS10 and tweaked in real time with Reaktor
