what are the sword laws like in england?

i don't even know what the sword laws are in texas.

i wonder if i could legally carry this thing around in public

They sell them all over the place, theres a couple of shops in leeds that sell them with stands and so on. I think shops have to have a license to sell them too. I know you can carry around a 3" blade as long as it folds, so swiss army knives are safe. Then if the blade is longer you have to have a reason for it. But that is knives so I have no idea about swords I imagine they are the same and fall into the fixed blade category. Thats about as far as I know. I'm sure there will be a wiki on it or something, will have to look it up..

this is out of the texas law books...

§ 46.01. Definitions In this chapter:

(6) "Illegal knife" means a:
(A) knife with a blade over five and one-half inches;
(B) hand instrument designed to cut or stab another by being thrown;
(C) dagger, including but not limited to a dirk, stilletto, and poniard;
(D) bowie knife;
(E) sword; or
(F) spear.
(7) "Knife" means any bladed hand instrument that is capable of inflicting serious bodily injury or death by cutting or stabbing a person with the instrument.

§ 46.02. Unlawful Carrying Weapons

(a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his person a handgun, illegal knife, or club.

§ 46.05Prohibited Weapons
(a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly possesses, manufactures, transports, repairs, or sells:
(5) a switchblade knife;
