We are delighted to announce Reggae Roast will be heading back over to Farringdon to host room 3 at Fabric. After playing at Fabric a few times over the past year, in support for some of the greatest artists from the world of Reggae and Dubstep, we are really looking forward re-claiming room 3 for a night of Reggae Roast vibes and pressure. The last time we were given this opportunity we smashed the roof off, with explosive sets from Necessary Mayhem and Dub Terror. This time we are pleased to introduce two very special guest artists; LV (HYPERDUB) & LUD DUB (USA). Resident DJs EXEL & MOODIE will be joined by RAMON JUDAH, playing their uplifting blend of Roots, Dubstep, Dancehall & Steppers.
In rooms 1 and 2 you will find an all star line-up of the best in Drum & Bass and Dubstep including; Benga, Scratch Perverts, Mixhell, Mistajam, Greenmoney, DJ Fresh, Andy C, Sigma, Brookes Brothers, The Others, MCs Darrison, GQ & Dynamite. We are really looking forward to this one, anyone who came to our room 2 takeover in December will know this is a night not to be missed.
LV are an exciting UK based production group who already have a string of killer released under their belt. Their sound perfectly balances Roots influences with a crisp electronic edge, featuring some of the best UK reggae vocalists with astounding results. Recent releases on Hyperdub Records and Hemlock records, alongside a selection of Dubstep’s forward thinking producers such as Untold and Ramadanman have received a top response from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs & Gilles Peterson on Radio 1. This is guaranteed to be a massive set, with a selection of LV dub plates and the freshest digital roots riddims.
LUD DUB will be flying over to the UK for a 2 week tour and is passing through to give us an exclusive 90 min DJ Set. Lud is one of the biggest players in the San Francisco Dubstep/Reggae scene, as well as being co-founder of BIGUP Magazine, arguably the best underground bass music and culture publication in the US. Expect to hear an action packed set covering Roots, Dancehall and Dubstep with some upfront promos from across the atlantic.
