to what extent do you think the names of tracks influences the image of the track? i know alot of you including myself will see only how a track is a peice of music, but more and more image is coming a major influence on dubstep

titles for tracks
Re: titles for tracks
A title is just an ID, imho i dont' feel it can influence perception of the tune. A title can sound cool but if the tune is shit ..
I like tho the artwork styles and the "informative" titles when crate digging. When you look at something at read (something) dub you know isnt gabber

Re: titles for tracks
Imo the name of a track is as important as the composition itself in Dubstep or any genre...it should resonate totally with style, direction and message that the track is delivering.RINSE wrote:to what extent do you think the names of tracks influences the image of the track? i know alot of you including myself will see only how a track is a peice of music, but more and more image is coming a major influence on dubstep

If i see track's with pointless, stupid or otherwise names it's all well and good if they're outright gems,it just comes accross as if the producer didn't make any sort of true connection with their work and was happy to leave it with a poorly thought out file name instead of a real title.
It's like wearing a £2000 suite with a pair of cheap shoes from the market - why bother?
