Android(/mobile) audio software ?
Just thought id see if
1. anyone's using android yet
2. do you have any cool music apps installed ?
... currently i have ...
Loops! Lite - (FL inspired step sequencer / pattern editor)
Spectral view - (Real time spectral analyser (demo restricted to 8khz band width))
VLC Remote - (allows you to control the vlc media player via a wireless connection)
Track ID - (IDs tracks from and audio clip)
Media scape - (comes with the x10 and arranges your audio (played last/most played/etc/etc))
Google voice search - (also preinstalled but vcool ... talk to google and it will search for you) (surprisingly it works 9/10 times))
would be cool to see a mini DAW & soundeditor ... there are sound recorders but i havnt installed one yet

Re: Andriod(/mobile) audio software ?
I just made the plunge and bought a HTC Incredible yesterday with the Android 2.1 OS on it. I'm waiting for it to be delivered to me. I would love to hear about any more audio apps there are for it if anyone knows.
Cheers

So what is the deal, can anyone develop for the android?
Re: Andriod(/mobile) audio software ?
Not much to offer for android unfortunately all the big money and good apps are for iphone...this will change soon enough as android is really picki up space.
Electrum drum rocks, best app so far for drums.
Tube tempo awesome tap tempo, I use it almost daily to find tempo of songs I hear on radio, tv, itunez...
Musical pro - has nice piano mulitouch too, but my phone, the mytouch, 2nd gen g1 does not have new donut? OS yet and so no multi...also screen is smaller so harder to play..
Oh oh yea and there is a fucking ridiculously cool app called fingerplay midi , its a midi over ip controller app that I got to work with ableton once but can't get it you work anymore...it has sliders 16 drum pads and more.

Re: Andriod(/mobile) audio software ?
Sounds like Android 2.2 OS is out with some nice improvements and found a few nice apps besides those already mentioned.

Re: Andriod(/mobile) audio software ?
I do have AT&T and it is looking like the new iPhone is going to drop right around the time my contract expires in a month so I think I am just going to go for that. Tempted to move to Verizon and get the incredible or something but I think iPhone is a good move right now. In two years I think it will be a different story, I will go with Android then. I don't even know if I will seriously be trying to make beats on a phone. Some of those apps are neat but not quite neat enough to do anything serious.

Re: Android(/mobile) audio software ?
i recently bought htc tattoo because it's the cheapest smartphone ever. and i love it.
anyway, there are not many creative audio apps available for android yet, and as far as i understand the reason for this is the fact that the android os is not yet optimized for sound processing. the lag in realtime audio apps is still a big issue and theres too much impact on the phone cpu. this will probably be fixed in future android 2.x updates. still there are quire a few gems available out there, here's what i have installed atm:
gStrings - a tuner app, it's very precise and can also be usefull if you have a melody in your head and want to figure out the notes the easy way. ;]
Tap BPM - such a simple bpm calculator, but it's very handy and accurate.
andLess - a cool lightweight audio player. plays FLAC too!
ChordBot - chord progressions. <3
Solo Lite - a guitar app. lets you mess around with chords.
still the most important relase thus far for android is this imho:
Jasuto - a modular synthesizer - http://createdigitalmusic.com/2010/05/1 ... oes-droid/
haven't tried it out yet, and i'm not sure it will work on my little tattoo.
and i will have to check out that Loops! app suggested by tripaddict. seems interesting.

I've got a HTC G2 and I've got a wee app called uLoops. Havent had a proper play with it yet but its got a loop maker, arrangement window and quite a few different kits to choose from, will probably have a fuck about with it next long train ride im on.

Re: Android(/mobile) audio software ?
you lot have to check vlc server .... i used vlc player by videoLAN on my pc ... install the server app on your phone and it acts as a remote control for vlc over wireless ... i can change songs whilst sitting in the garden .... havnt fully figured it out yet but its my favorite app so far
excellent tool
will def check those apps mentioned above
btw androids native format are ogg files (open file format) these work best and are handled quickest by android (from google i/o talk)

Re: Android(/mobile) audio software ?
yeah just go to uloops.net from your phone browser, no need to use the market. the app is insane, almost like having lmms or some old version of fruity loops on your phone. perfect for laying out ideas before realising them in the studio.
and lol that vlc remote is fancy.
