saturation in logic
so i just read two different articles online about how to saturate in logic, one said to use the tape delay and turn in down to 0ms and another says the bitcrusher at full resolution and bitcrushing off. The tape delay option makes more sense to me. Is this what people are doing, or are non-native plugins the way to go?
Re: saturation in logic
do you mean Saturation Distortion?
I would be curious if you could achieve this on the tape delay like that
but there are other ways to get that distortion sound...

tested the tape delay trick works pretty well

Re: saturation in logic
why not use logics overdrive? if you turn its input gain all the way down and the filter all the way up, you can get it to sound as subtle or brash as you want!
Also check out the 'VCA' setting on logics compressor. Set the attack and release very small (pretty much zero) and it does some weird saturation.

Re: saturation in logic
The Overdrive plug in with very low drive + tone towards the top makes for lovely light distortion. I'd recommend getting voxengo's tube amp, it's free and sounds pretty nice.
