Re: making filthy bass in massive?
detune the 2 osc the same as the first. Use a saw?

You should use Albino, rusko also uses it.
The way to make filthy bass is as following: Use 4 oscillators with filth waveforms, you can find secret filth waveforms all over the internet. All should be on -24 semitones, and just slightly detune them. Put the filter cutoff frequency on about 250 hertz. Assign LFO 1 to the cuttof frequency. Use a 1/32 speed filth wave on the LFO (NOT A SINE!!). Assign LFO 2 to modulate the pitch of Osc 2 (NOT OSC 1,3 or 4 - THERE IS A BUG IN ALBINO THAT MAKES OSC 2 SOUNDS WAY DIRTIER). Use distortion, you can never have too much - crank dat shit up to full. Use reverb 100% wet with a 8 second decay. Use a 700ms delay with a LOT of feedback. Also use a unison detune unit on 100% wet with 100% detune (DUHH).
After that, use distortion to fix it to your taste. You can also sample it to make it wobble even faster!

Use the search button in the top right hand corner, this thread has been done so many times before its unreal. Anyways, one tip, all OSC to around -24 then mess around with different waveforms, modulation OSC, intensity of each OSC etc. Case in point, just piss around with Massive and also read up on the production bible for more tips.

Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Re: making filthy bass in massive?
make sure you you start with a clean slate so ya dont colour your sound from the beginning. file/new sound. first osc -24 & then harmonize the next 2! use one filter & keep the filter sliders set all the way up up to f1. then just mess with that shit!!!chea

Btw the secret behind dirty basslines is not fcking Massive , it's the effects you put on em. Most of the basses are reese with some extra weird-waveform OSC anyway.
