Serato vs. Traktor...the never ending debate

Post by Dj Hindsight » Fri May 28, 2010 4:00 am

I know everyone has their own opinion, but when i found out you can sync 2 track while mixing 2 vinyls....Traktor wins

I disagree Serato doesn't let u spin 4 tracks at once (2 turntable, 2 internal) and the internals are sync with decks A n B Serato definatley cant do that

Yeah but it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

This one has this feature, that one has that feature. All added together, they're about equal. If it's of paramount importance for you to be spinning 4 decks, simultaneously, by all means traktor is superior for your needs.

It's not of importance when I or anyone plays dubstep or jungle, so much as it's a wonderful feature when spinning minimal or house. you never wanna mix too many tracks with thick semi-continuous basleines

I played out last night, I was first of 2 dj's on, played for 2 hrs then the other dj got his serato box all hooked up transfered across from my traktor quite smoothly I thought sweet i can get pished now.... NO.. serato failed, was skipping like a bitch and wouldn't cue properly. I plugged traktor box back in and played the other 2 hours too, was fucked by the end of it.

conclusion = Traktor works better
