This is a serious commitment to quoting.
This is a total hijack, but I've never understood why it's not "quote THING YOU'RE QUOTING un-quote."

(Ignore the actual quotation marks)

Anyone?
Why not just use quotation marks though?!?!?!?!
It's a spoken expression, never seen it in writing.
Till now. Crazy tangent. My wife says "quote/unquote" all the time when it isn't even a quote which totally kills me. And yeah you should end the quote before saying unquote so you know where the quote is ending! I am not even going to re-read this, my mind will surely explode. What is this thread about again?

I find it a lot of effort to send out promos to people, and most of the people on my promo list don't even have a radio show or nothin... I'm pretty lazy really about getting my stuff out there, I'm more and more inclined to immeadiatly have my shit for download. Sending stuff to labels doesn't really generate much response either, so I also agree, don't sit on your tunes.

Pink Floyd made music for fame and money, are you going to tell them there's no emotion/feeling/realness in their tracks?
I disagree, to a point.
Syd Barrett had no clue what the fuck he was doing.
You don't make money with Lucifer Sam.

Then you've got songs like San Tropez and Seamus from the album Meddle... Those are a hard sell for a typical listener.
Those tunes slay me every time though.

Used to this shit going all the way back to the early 90s with rave stuff, folk would sit on their tunes for a year and only give em to the biggest DJs so you were sick of them by the time they actually came out. That peaked with Jungle dubplates, got kind of ridiculous. TBH the internet helped sort the problem somewhat since it was a lot easier to pirate dubs, but folk are holding on to HQ versions a lot longer again.

alot of my track's on my soundcloud is free download too
but they are track's that i have re edited 1000 times and had enough with
pretty much got sick of hearing them and also i make tunes alot and hate them sitting in folders
and it just keep's building up
so i just make these track's free downloadable but hopefully when i improved on my production
and happy with what am making i will not make them downloadable some of the track has been downloaded 100-200 times i don't even know if that is alot and
don't even know if anyone would play them,
but alot of track's i've found on scloud that has been free download i've dropped in my set's in the last few months.

but can't they steal it even if its not downloadable anyway?

i mean if someone find a track that is not downloable and find's a way to rip record it can't that be done?

or would the file be low format?

Yeah I bought it. I thought it was a great tune. There was a huge bandwagon of haters that followed that tune around but as far as I know it sold pretty well. If anything I hate the copycat tunes that came after that one. I think the same sort of thing is going on with that Heist "drumstep" tune that he has been holding on to, meanwhile there are like 50 tunes already out that sound just like it. Dance producers know how to rinse shit into the ground.
