Lost my rag (not in the least bit professionally) with a college at work, belittled them and them appear rather silly and vindictive right in front of my line manager. Now although my line manager agrees that said person is a bell-end and I was in my rights to protest I shouldn't have threatened to fuck her mother with a dead man's cock so I got a verbal warning and she got to go ome an hour early as I made her cry

Nah, this old interfering woman. She means well at the end of the day but the problem is there's way things need to be done because of a) the law b) policy c) it's the way it always has been done... but she'll come in twice a week and do things her own way. The argument started over first assessment forks; when someone comes in myself or someone else will sit down and go through a form. Basic stats stuff from sexual orientation / gender to how many bags of heroin do they use a day. Because of the nature of it some people will want to let it all out there and then, we can't do this, don't have the time and not all the staff or versed in it. So to make it easier there's a ticky box with a few small forms in to write notes. Her idea was to have a blank sheet for each client and she went ahead and did this without telling anyone so now we have several clients on our books with no case numbers, prohb numbers or risk assessment forms from the police / mental health services.

Oh. So basically, you've gotta re-do the whole fucking lot thanks to her? provided you know who these people are of course? Or do you just have to hope they're gonna pop back in mid-fix?

my dad is in madrid and today on the way to the airport to come home someone pickpocketed him and took all his money, bank cards and passport. the guy at check in was a proper jobsworth and wouldn't let him fly even though he knew his passport number and had two types of other photo ID with him as well as proof of address.

after missing that flight he then queued for two hours to speak to another guy from the airline who said he would let him fly with just those documents, but he would have to pay 52 euro to transfer to a new flight, my dad didn't have this but did have some english money in the pocket of his jeans (which didn't get nicked as they took just his wallet) however they wouldn't change the money into euros without seeing a passport, so he couldn't get on that flight either. he's now stuck in madrid airport with no money for somewhere to stay and no way of getting any for now, and it might take a few days for a new passport to come.
