@Astral - i'm not sure what genre I'd call this either, but its great! I love the drums, they're simple but ridiculously catchy. The main synth is fantastic. how did you program it? I'd like to hear a bit more low end, and I think as it goes on you could introduce more elements, but other than that just can't wait til this is finished.
Cheers for the feedback fellas, the lead synth is ridiculously easy, no filters, no outboard effects.

the real meat comes in the momentum that the glide brings, stick that at about half way and its sorted.

@dub_dokta
welcome to the forum :t:
that synth that comes in from the start really needs to go
its far too uncontrolled and is waving all over the place and just makes a mess.
having said that you seem to have got a good grasp on making some dirty sounds,
just keep at it and be a perfectionist with your work, if it doesnt sound right, fix it :)

made a little thing of my own...its a WIP
stuck with dubstep atm, so i made this instead

@Dub_dokta: Nice sounds, like somebody else said you've clearly got the basics down. The lead synth at the start is a little ... amusical, lol. But keep at it, you got skills for sure :)

@dub dakota

the wob sounds like the one in caspas "my pet monster" which is nice
but i think you need to work alot on the bassline, try maybe changing the sound itself of it over time to make things more interesting.
and theres something about the bassline itself that just dosent appeal to me, when it goes higher, i dunno, try to make it harmonize better

other than that i think if you really work on it this could turn out to be a really good track actually :)

@Mortal
fuck that was groovy as FUCK! got my head bumping even jumping around and at the same time it gave me goosebumps
what would be perfect and would make this track even more banging would be if you switched it all up between the first and second drop (like even more intense more stuff going on at once, more percussion more cuts and quick breaks i dunno how to explain :P), then second drop like first drop then another switch up
that could be killer!
but already as it is now, pretty damn nice dance material :)
intro was nice also, its misleading in a good way, didnt expect at all what was coming at me

^some quality feedback right there :lol:

@majordude
i know your track is just a short preview etc but it was just really un-inpisiring and not very appealing to me. nothing interesting is going on in it.
id like to hear a longer version of it that way itd be much easier to give some actual constructive critisicm as it would be more to chew on. :)
one thing that came to mind tho was the kick/snare could use some work, abit louder and punchier would work well

also wondering, as i understood its a remix?

yeah uve got a good sound on the bass, and putting a sub under it would make it more buff
but the track itself has no soul
its just percussion, the bassline, some incidentals/noises and some filters

theres no feeling in the track yeah sure some tracks actually can go with the same bassline over and over but this is simply just repetetive and boring, theres no depth in it at all
im just not feeling it

@ Astral: very nice, lead sounds very "koan soundy" looking forward to the fiished version

@ majordude: i like the drop but i think the vocals at the start need some eq....they pierce the ears a bit. other than its noice!!

heres some drumstep ive started...only 50 seconds and its far from finished, just looking to see if you guys like the general vibe of it.

@dub - dakota: good to hear mate, looking forward to hear a full version of your track. since youve got a real nice wub sound going there i think if you put alot of effort into it i think it can turn out to be a really good track just keeping working on it till u achieve perfection!

@majordude : the kick is very weak and im really not feeling the track at all.. its just wum-wumwum,-wum-wumwum.-wum-wumwum over and over and over and over
the intro is 1minute and 37seconds long and the drop consists of only a weak white noise sweep
the intro is giving the listener so much more expectations than just a white noise sweep-drop and wum-wumwum thru the entire track...

my opinion is simply that: youre track hasnt any "swagga" or "filthy as fuck", nor any feeling/soul/heart put into it whatsoever..

@enno:
i can dig that! just after that 50seconds of it finishes wat wud fit very well is a similar bassline but with more call it "filth" if u want some really just straight out "dirtier" version of the bassline you already have but abit variated perhaps
think it cud turn out well, also the snare try make it sound more "alive" imo!
obvioulsy needs an intro..
curious to hear a longer version of it!!
