Headlining the last ever Ruffage event is Hyperdub head honcho, Kode 9.
Scotland's bass weight pioneer has helped inspire and shape the scene from day one. Kode has not only released but also produced some of the most forward thinking UK bass music of the last decade. With his DJ sets and label output becoming increasingly hard to pigeonhole you can always expect something fresh, so we're extremely excited to welcome him down to the intimate surroundings of Wire to send off Ruffage in style.
Shackleton will be making his Ruffage debut with a special live performance. Co-founder of the Skull Disco label alongside Appleblim, Shackleton has wowed audiences all around the globe with his unique percussion-heavy productions. As well as releasing the acclaimed '3 EPs' on the Perlon label last year, he has also remixed artists as diverse as Simian Mobile Disco, Brian Eno and Ricardo Villalobos.
Joining Kode 9 and Shackleton will be the full Ruffage crew, including the original residents from the first Ruffage (Ben UFO, Pangaea, Darkmatter, Mudda and Badga Tek), Hessle Audio's Ramadanman, Jangle and Signus repping Radio Frequency and up-and-coming producer Midland. Hosting on the night we have long time Ruffage mic man Farze. And all this powered by Wire's amazing Funktion One sound system.
This is the last ever Ruffage so no messing about - bring your party hat and all your pocket monies.
