What version of logic do you think could reliably run on an old pretty good spec'ed G4?

Sabre was using Logic 7 during his masterclass video and I think he had a G4

Yeah, I run Logic Pro 7 on my five-year-old G4 laptop w/ OS X 10.4.11, runs pretty well... Just need to use that freeze button militantly to conserve CPU as you add tracks & plugs...

The logic plugs from version 7 onwards are top notch! They sound gerat and are organized into appropriate categories

*facepalm* I didn't even search

I didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to try to run a contemporary logic on a G4.

But my brother up north is holdin it down for me!

Thank you MOUSE!

I use Waves, PSP, Fxpansion BFD & Native Instruments plugs other than the Logic plugs...

Definitely CPU struggling a bit when I use BFD or NI instruments but no issues w/ effects plugs...

But keep in mind, that's probably more a function of my processor speed (only a single 1.22Ghz G4 chip) & my RAM (2GB) and the fact that BFD is so CPU hungry, more than anything else. Hence my need to freeze tracks...

If you've got dual processors, you'll probably be in better shape than I :)

Bought my G4 in 2000... I can't even remember the processor spec right now, and it is a long way from a monitor -q-

I did just find a copy of logic 7 going for (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) ... $35

This is nothing serious though. I haven't worked in logic in 8 years or so. Just want to have a fool about.
