there's nothing like looking up from behind the decks and seeing people smiling, dancing and vibing off what you do. :t:

that quitting music just isn't an option. i've tried moving on to other hobbies at certain points during creative block/frustration, but it's what i love and always come back to no sense in fighting it :)

difference is these days i've accepted limitations/learned to go with the flow when it's uh...not flowing. and it's a hell of a lot more fun when you dont take yourself so seriously.....just focusing on the joys of the process of producing - learning new things here and there, gradually getting better and better and seeing the time put into it pay off when you have one of those :o moments when you catch a little tip or work in a perfect sample... that's enough to keep me going.

there's always a gem amongst all the tunes you make. just takes you believing in it and vibing and getting it to the right set of ears with a label

How everything ends up reverting back to music. Hearing a cool sample in an advert, or machinery or anything, the first thing you think is "I need that".

I remember getting back from a night out to my flat and hearing the toilet door creaking, and it almost sounded like a riser as the creak rose as the door closed. I spent about 30 minutes at 4am trying to get the perfect take on my shitty mobile phone recorder.

Always good to spend time working with others. No one knows everything... Don't take the music too seriously either.

know what you mean, i'm always hearing epic things with no way to capture them. i'd invest in a minidisk recorder or something but i fear it would probably consume my life walking around with that thing building the best sample pack ever..
