Chop your bass lines!

Something that I find useful is to bounce the bassline to a .wav file, so that it can be chopped up and put in-sync with other elements of the song; because the majority of the time you will find the first wave of sound in the wobble bassline will will be half the length of the other waves due to attack rates. So the best thing to do is to chop that freak sound off the beginning of the file in your DAW (Logic Pro, Reason, Cubase etc) and start off with the second wave which should be fully formed. This way it will not be too early of late when keeping in sync with other elements such as a second bassline."

This should take away the part of your wobble that is off sync
& thus everything will flow much better

I've searched & searched how to do this
& have not found the correct method

Well it's pretty self explanatory isn't it? I'm using reason 4 at the moment but I assume its similar to the other programs. If you really want to bounce the sound out and cut the front part off then you could download a program like audacity to do this and then sample it back into your DAW, but could be hard to cut it perfectly depending on what your waveform looks like.
I don't see why it would be necessary to do this, the program should have the LFO synced to the tempo already right? Just play around with the settings and make the lfo attack really short.
Another idea to try, if the first wobble sounds different, you could just start your bassline note 1 bar before it actually starts but have it muted and then automate the volume to go from mute to 100% when you want it to play. Hope that makes sense

sounds like yall are shooting yourself in the foot telling yourself what you are "supposed" to do

at the OP this is one of the MANY uses of resampling. you may find that once you sample the basslines you can swap other similar notes in and out to make it more fresh

i won't go too in depth but yea, there is alot of worth to the chop process, especially if you mix it with other automated things in a back and forth manner

keep trying at it, youll get fantastic things to come from it

I normally create a few sounds i like, find a key i want the song in... insert 1bar of each sound on the piano roll... render it to .wav then re-open the wav files in my DAW and mess with it. i feel it gets me better results and better rhythm within the basslines for some reason!

ok.. for what youre wanting to do (if im on the right lines here). This is what i'd do.

1. create your wobble bassline.
2. export it as a wav
3. re-open fl studio... or just open up an audio clip (channels > add one > audio clip)
4. open up the wav file.
5. drag the wav file onto the playlist editor.
6. zoom all the way in.
7. click on the slice option and chop off the first part of the wobble which is out of sync (im guessing itl only be half a wobble)
8. render the bassline again as a wav.

and that should be all
