Fair enough for the general population but for the people that payed to travel across to South Africa to follow the sport live.. lolknell wrote:it's like asking the avg. Besides, i don't support England. I'm supporting Brazil as i have done for the past 12 years!
haha thats the truth! I think Americans are just happy they qualified, they dont really care who's playing or who wins as long as they get to chant U-S-A and blow plastic horns and make other noise..Neurotik wrote:Fair enough for the general population but for the people that payed to travel across to South Africa to follow the sport live.. lolknell wrote:

I'd still expect british followers of basketball to know something about the team they're supporting when it comes down to it aha.
But overall, when it came to the match today, i did think England started off with a confidence that gave them a steady pace upto the first goal, however, the mistake in goal seemed to cause the players to slip into abit of a panic, making it harder for them to regain the lead. Oh well, things don't get truly exciting for me up until tuesday!
Cringed as the replay come up.Dew wrote:robert green must die
I can't imagine what it must be like to have an entire country hate you... Almost makes me feel bad for him.Dew wrote:robert green must die

England was stomping out the gates, it was pretty obvious that they were the better team, throughout the game... but just got unlucky with the shots that missed, and Howard (thank goodness) is used to English strikes so he stood strong..
It was strange how the English moral fell after the fumble, it's like their skill was there but their minds were elsewhere...
either way, England wins in my book, just because in my area of California, the program immediately following the World Cup on the station i was on was called "Paris Hilton's My New BFF"... a show in which little drama queens fight for Paris Hilton's attention to be crowned her... new... bff....
wow.
actually, Big Brother aired in the Netherlands first, and was picked up in the UK and the US at the same time, but America's version HAS to be the worst... nothing but meat-heads and dumb bimbos... it's the most painfully unwatchable thing i've ever witnessed... i'd still have to see the UK version to be fair tho hahaNeurotik wrote:Yeah, pkay had a really good point though tbh; they really dissapointed insofar that, instead of losing focus, they had all that time to catch up and make up for Green's mistake (which i did admittedly lol pretty damn hard at).
Haha! Well we have Big Brother over here, so we can have a competition to see which is the most soul destroying form of shallow crap.
