Even if there were a "pressing problem", that wouldn't delay the release for that long.

pressing plants work on a schedule. i don't know if thats whats happened with this LP, but its standard now in 2010 for there to be delays. when you're ready to get a 12" or LP pressed with metalwork in hand, the pressing plant give you a slot in their schedule. it could be ten days or two months ahead, all depending on how busy they are at any given time. the pressing schedule is planned for every hour of every day. contrary to what people think, vinyl pressing isn't run like a gas station. you can't just walk up and have it done. these days its micro managed. if you have to repress or redo things; even if you've already waited for a past slot, you have to wait again for a new one. this is why nearly any 12" or LP release these days is usually delayed, because there aren't that many pressing plants around anywhere anymore, and those that are around are rammed out with orders. even major label vinyl releases get delayed for the same reasons, and as often as not these major label releases are pressed at the same places where dubstep vinyl gets done.

dozens of vinyl releases in this scene have been delayed over the years. if you've bought any dmz or medi vinyl, you know the level of quality to expect, so its worth having patience right now.

just got a telegram, apparently the world's run out of vinyl.

looks like this lp is going to be cut to wood, but the only wood worth cutting on is bamboo, and the damn pandas are eating all of it.
