Best dubstep compilation has to be either Dubstep Allstars 2 mixed by Youngsta or Dubstep Allstars 5 mixed by N Type.....best selection of tunes and great mixing

Are mixes considered compilations though?
As far as straight up compilations go, it'd have to be Box of Dub: Dubstep And Future Dub 1 & 2. I prefer the second one, but the first one has Burial - Unite on it, which is just unbelievably good. The Steppas Delight compilations are good too. Soul Jazz seem to put out some amazing music.
Grime and Grime 2 take a high place purely for being very predominant in bringing the early dubstep sound to a wider audience. Your average backpacking rephlex fan was pretty shaken up upon first listening to these LPs.

I Love Dubstep, purely because it made me appreciate dubstep way more than any other compilation did and is the reason I love it to this day and prefer to DJ this type of music :e:
