Fruity Parametric EQ 2 - Anyone know of a mac equivalent?

Post by prime|evil » Fri Jun 18, 2010 12:15 am

http://www.image-line.com/documents/parametriceq2.html

I love the way the sound is represented by color. It's the only way I can understand it simply. Anyone know of a version of this for the Mac. (Or would it kill my computer if I had some app to run it on a mac through an win-emulator of some sort?)

Also, free vsts for mac. Not many. (or not just looking in the right place maybe?) I found a few such as..

http://www.thepiz.org/mralias2/

but not many rad ones really. Anyone know of any more?

Peace!!

I asked this exact same question maybe a week ago on kvr and got nothing similar, although did get linked to some other freeware parametric eq's but I've stuck to using cubases eq now. I'd link you the thread from kvr but I'm on my iPod atm so you'll have to find it yourself

I found a website dedicated to free mac plugins but can't remember it's name...

Here's another site though, they make some interesting stuff

It doesn't convert PC VST's to Mac AU. Sorry. It does convert Mac VST to Mac AU.

Damn. And I was so excited. Is there anyway to run PC vsts on a Mac? I'm running a old g4 but with osx10 on it. Oh and logic 8.

Not easily. You could find a free PC standalone vst host, run your VSTs on it using WINE, then bounce/record the audio and import into logic.

What's your G4's stats, and what kind of performance do you get out of 8? Thinking of doing the same thing (maybe with 7), just for sport.

More proof we the Linux kick both sides of this arguements ass.

Not only was our software reccomend as workaround, but I get VST and AU and Live LADSPA 8)

Just give up and install ubuntu and emulate logic, hell I emulate FL, and it runs better then it does on my native partition....

I have nothing of real relevance to add just felt like hyping a nix distro...
