LOL! when i was leaving the various show i heard somebody say "yeah, they're like the new massive attack."

i looked at him and laughed cause i thought he was joking, but i could tell by his serious looks that he wasn't.

i enjoyed the show very much, but i feel since they were only "playing" the tunes that the mix could have been more interesting/better built.

on the dl now . . .

looking forward to giving these two mixes a listen most definately !

their breezeblock mix copped a caining from me.

i understand that it may be too deep & dark or depressing for some people, but that is what i love about em. and of course the production.

unique

p.s. thanks for the linkage BLD 8)

the Various Production crew were very nice, very humble and thrilled to be invited to seattle. although they're not technically dubstep, one thing i really appreciate about the players in the scene is their openness and friendly nature with the fans. it's refreshing to see a dialog between the producers and consumers of the music. the VP crew hasn't let the hype go to their head and from the new sounds on this mix, their future is very bright indeed.

anybody know where that sample in the 2nd cut on the Chop Suey set comes from...the "Tiger Style" sample?

ah, thanks. i'm curious if the version they played was a VP remix or if they played someone else's version? one of the guys was messing about with a turntable but you can spot the volume difference when the records are playing.

If I wasn't a broke-ass student, I woulda hit this show up.
Huge respect to whoever brought them out west here. Good move.

I love "The World is Gone", and I'm sure I'll dig these sets. Big thanks, bro!

ya man,

it was you who shed light on various for me. When you dropped it at Rising Fire and again at Blazing Fire, I lost it!
