For the third instalment of the OpenEarz journey through the full spectrum of dubstep sounds, Dom Hz supplies a diverse 3 track EP showcasing his technically gifted production and representing his broad music tastes.
Mist opens the EP with warm pads and enchanting atmospherics. The intro sets the pace, but doesn’t prepare you for the plunging drop and sub bass pressure! This is a high calibre skanker with a weightline ready to test any system!
Easing nicely into the flipside Dom constructs infectious jazz melodies and lounge vibes for Elevator Skank, bringing through influences from house, jungle and dub to create a warm roller, definitely a summer vibes track!
To seal the deal, Dom drops a laid back gem. Without You is laced with haunting yet soulful vocal stabs and soothing, memorable melodies – soulful modern dubstep and nothing short of brilliance from our third Manchester artist.
