I've come round to the dude, OMG is an album full of cheesy shit and therefore its perfect summer listening. Put that Hold On tune on your memory stick, bang it in the car stereo and then go for an aimless drive in the sunshine, if that tune isn't perfect for that, I don't know what is.

IMO;

Just because you started in a certain genre doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to the said genre, that's the ultimate creativity kill isn't it? How many of your tunes use similar sounds to those of other producers(303s and 808s as previously mentioned)? Fuck cries of "sellout", fuck the cries of "oh, hes super cheesy therefore irrelevant"...the man has honed his craft over years and years and time and time again proved himself in the live setting.

So what if he uses presets, listen to all your parents old synth pop records from the 80's and tell me they didn't use presets then too...

gotta love a set i consider abysmal being told that was a great set, you played tunes that mcs have no place over. when i have trouble mixing cause i hear bidibidi boh ec in my cans trying to cue a track and just kill a tune and start one from the straight beginning get the hint :lol:

:lol:

If it works it works. I'd say 99% of dubstep I hear has the exact same bass and drum sounds. Problem is you go changing them and folk say it's not dubstep anymore.

My favourite bass preset is that one called 'Sine' it's on most synths sometimes they call it 'Sine Wave', I hardly ever modify it, it's old and has been rinsed but it's just so phat.
Good Night

Almost like an ancient Relic.

But what came first, the sine wave or the organic sound? I suppose the sound as it wasn't always displayed visually, but the sine was always there..

But I suppose that's dependant on whether you count an organic sine sound as being completely harmonic free..

How confusing.
