I am with ya bud. I can't stand the track ball.

I have a bog standard Microsoft mouse. Wired even. Nothing impressive but has worked flawlessly for like 2 years now. Can't even recall the name of the keyboard but has lasted a while too it is now missing like 10 letters or rather the paint has rubbed off. Lucky I have learned to type.

So fucking lush. I still havn't gotten round to assigning the billions of different buttons to the DAW.

Although a warning to anyone using a wireless mouse anywhere near bass/subwoofer that is badly done up and is shocking through your desk. It will get knocked off your desk all the fucking time, and eventually stop working. Put a little wedge in there when you're not using it.

Trackballs rock! I have this one on which I reversed the left and right mouse clicks.

Anyhoo, I'm just rocking an HP keyboard and your standard Microsoft mouse.

Never seen one of them trackballs, maybe in a shop one time. Do people get tired using a mouse, I mean you only use the joint in your wrist.

Everyone in my office gets so confused when they try to use my trackball. Sometimes when I'm working with a software dev, he needs to get on my computer and my trackball throws him off every time. He gets so flustered. Mainly because I reversed the left and right mouseclick for various reasons. I've also assigned a double click to one of the buttons so I only need to click once. I have the same mouse in my studio and my office. Can't imagine going back to a regular mouse actually. In my studio I have two cordless mice hooked up, one is a normal mouse, mainly because when my girlfriend wants to get on my computer she can't deal with my trackball either! I've totally reprogrammed that thing and even had to hack it a bit to make it do what I wanted to do.

I'm considering one, my current RSI hurts like a mother :(
Do it man, that is initially why I got one. It made a huge difference.

I recommend changing the relationship between your chair and desk. :)

Yeah, I actually did that also. I ended up putting small pieces of 2x4 under my office desk to raise it up as my chair would not go any lower. That helped too.

I got 2 inch in diameter pieces of pvc, and loaded them up with hexagonal tiles to raise my desk, same issue, same solution :)

When obama accidentally presses the big red button and launches all the nukes at russia and china its going to be because he was using one of mks's trackballs.
