Hey guys, Im looking for a little guidance in regards to cutting up audio. I have some acapellas that i would like to work with but only sections of the songs. So how do you go about cuttin slices out of audio? Also whats the proper way of speeding up audio or slowing it down?
Thanks guys

Re: Working with audio in Ableton
put your ableton questions in the ableton Q & A for future reference.
you're just looking to split the audio file? quite a few ways of going about this, but as dude above said, CNTRL (Command if on Mac) + E is a really quick way to split a clip. or just highlight the clip and drag to a new position within the track, or to a new track itself. so easy
if you're working in arrangement view and wanna quickly select portions of audio to chuck into session view, just highlight the part of the audio file and click it's name bar (the colored bar where it says the clip name) and drag into a session view track by using the ALT key to tab over.
