If you had a talking skin growth or you were a republican, I would think you were wierd, but not smoking in a culture that loves to inhale cigs, herbs, and crack just means you are not influenced by others, and that is cool. Well, you're at least not influenced to smoke, you might be a complete mind slave in other areas of your life for all I know. Sometimes never trying something also means that you are blindly influenced by your parents or church or boss or whatever too, which could leave you open to being victimized by ice pirates or wookies later in life.

If everyone smoked then the 'coolness' of smoking wouldnt exist.
We need some people to balance out the equation, you happen to be one of them.

Nah but its a minor detail. Smoking doesn't affect anything important, apart from your lung tissue.

Where's the coolness in smoking?

It's just an inconvienience in life (at work, having to keep popping out for one) that's killing you at the same time.

Marijuana doesn't kill. Unless you were talking about cigarettes, in which case I completely agree

Unless you started smoking because of a weed addiction, you started smoking because you wanted to look cool and in most cases people started smoking weed because they wanted to look cool and now most people want to quit smoking to look cool.

They kill you slowly, make you smell bad, make a mess and cost way too much money.

Given all these reasons I don't know why I still smoke..

But they do go so well with a line of coke and a few pints.

i like this.
i smoke from time to time, i drink from time to time and i blow from time to time but it's seems to me that if you're not "a smoker" or whatever people think you're weird.

i remember last year being at a party and i wanted to go for a glass of water, sober as can be aswell, and someone asked me if i was straight edge.
i replied no so he asked me why i wasn't drinking beer and that it's the only way.

people are generally being stupid about consuming alcohol or tobacco.

i have a lot of respect for people that don't let themselves get pressured to do things they don't care about in the first place.

cigs are bad and i wish i had never started

weed on the other hand i highly recommend, it heightens your senses and inspires creativity, it has no real detrimental health effects (the mental health issues are because people are producing stronger and stronger strains of it with ridiculous levels of THC that you wouldn't find in weed growing naturally in the wild), it is impossible to OD on it and it has a whole bunch of medicinal uses (it's a fucking decongestant and expectorant... IT CLEANS YOUR LUNGS!!!)

Check out a book called "the emperor wears no clothes" by Jack Herer
http://www.jackherer.com/chapters.html

"Cannabis is the best natural expectorant to clear the human lungs of smog, dust and the phlegm associated with tobacco use.
Marijuana smoke effectively dilates the airways of the lungs, the bronchi, opening them to allow more oxygen into the lungs. It is also the best natural dilator of the tiny airways of the lungs, the bronchial tubes - making cannabis the best overall bronchial dilator for 80% of the population (the remaining 20% sometimes show minor negative reactions)."

"If all fossil fuels and their derivatives, as well as trees for paper and construction were banned in order to save the planet, reverse the Greenhouse Effect and stop deforestation; then there is only one known annually renewable natural resource that is capable of providing the overall majority of the world's paper and textiles; meet all of the world's transportation, industrial and home energy needs, while simultaneously reducing pollution, rebuilding the soil, and cleaning the atmosphere all at the same time... and that substance is -- the same one that did it all before -- Cannabis Hemp... Marijuana!"

Start with cigars, the smoke of a true gentleman

I don't smoke. Sure I'll have a few puffs when someone passes a joint around, but other than that, not at all.

Edit: However, that doesn't mean I'm not weird.

I started smoking cigarettes because I had to cover up the weed smell somehow, but I've continued because I legitimately enjoy a good smoke every now and then. If I start smoking a cigarette and it isn't enjoyable, I'll just put it out, because there's no reason to feed my addiction if I'm not enjoying every damn second of it.
