Indeed! I love getting game sounds. I have packs from games ive never heard of.

do u have any suggestions on where to get samples from games ? except buying the game and taking it from the cd (i'm not really that much of a gamer either)

Monster half life sample pack that I think I lost, was over a gig wasn't it? I'm sure its searchable around here, dl'able somewhere. I maybe deleted it off a transport hd for space... could I have been so dumb. If you find it, lemme know please.

literally google search it man!

Somtimes on a mac for example, you can get into the apps contents and find the audio that way. Did that for half life for mac and others.

I hate to be "that" guy but seriously, this is just something you have to sample yourself or google.

Cool, I'll keep looking. Did a goole and torrent search but its tricky when I dont know what is available - 'computer game samples/audio' seems to vague for google.

Oh totally, you have to find a game you want the samples out of.

I will say this, any unreal tournament or halflife games (including counter-strike, team fortress, portal) are coded in such a way you can rip the audio from them.

Maybe get a emulator and some of your favourite games and audacity.

its possible to just find the audio from games and extract them from the game, providing you can figure out what archiving they have used


getting all the sounds out of bioshock wasnt very difficult, just took a little bit of googling and downloading a new archiver
