Re: Producing on the iPhone
I spent a fucking tenner on beatmaker, and it turned out to just be a wanky piece of shite. The interface is AWFUL. That one coming out looks sick though, looking forward to it, must say!
Re: Producing on the iPhone
I have had my iPhone 4 for a week now but I am reluctant to spend money on the apps that are out. I am afraid I won't use them. Want that nanostudio for sure tho.

I'd highly recommend Technobox, wicked acid sound and just plain fun!abZ wrote:I have had my iPhone 4 for a week now but I am reluctant to spend money on the apps that are out. I am afraid I won't use them. Want that nanostudio for sure tho.
I decided to get an iPad rather than get a new iPhone contract. Can't wait fer it come

Re: Producing on the iPhone
The new iphone has twice the ram of the iPad from what I understand. I would wait at least until they upgrade the iPad. I am not really a mac guy anyway so I don't know how far I am going to go with their products. iPhone4 is bad as fuck though in my opinion. I need to grab the touchosc too. Having issues with my bank at the moment tho :-/AnalGangstaHo wrote:I'd highly recommend Technobox, wicked acid sound and just plain fun!abZ wrote:I have had my iPhone 4 for a week now but I am reluctant to spend money on the apps that are out. Re: Producing on the iPhone
Don't get me wrong, I think the new iPhones are mint but I'll get more done on the ipad. Get plenty free time at work but atm waste it on the Internet. Can't get Internet as easy on ipad so I'll hopefully spend more time on tunes.abZ wrote:The new iphone has twice the ram of the iPad from what I understand. I <3 my iPhone 4
I felt the 3GS was definitely adequate hardware wise, but you can really feel the extra processor power and double RAM. Can't wait to play with NanoStudio and BeatMaker 2 on it

Re: Producing on the iPhone
the akai synthstation app is worth checking out. Drummachine + 3 Synths (1poly, 2mono). Pretty fun to play around. Lfo->cutoff also works.

Re: Producing on the iPhone
I seen a video for that and Ritchie Hawtin's doing a soundcheck at some festival. He walks about 100 metres from the stage triggering clips from the ipad!!
Yeah got this, pretty smart. Got everything you need to make a full track.buttock wrote:the akai synthstation app is worth checking out. Drummachine + 3 Synths (1poly, 2mono). Pretty fun to play around. Lfo->cutoff also works.
Re: Producing on the iPhone
Alright l'll Check the akai thing out. I need to get one of the adapters too so I can ditch the stock buds it comes with.

Re: Producing on the iPhone
adapter? lolwut? Any pair of headphones with a 3.5mm jack should work just fineabZ wrote:Alright l'll Check the akai thing out. I need to get one of the adapters too so I can ditch the stock buds it comes with.
Re: Producing on the iPhone
Lol yeah I figured that out thanks, the stock buds have an extra band on the jack so I wasn't sure.Phigure wrote:adapter? lolwut? Re: Producing on the iPhone
Have an iphone with beatmaker and technobox tbh a load of wank! Just gimme my laptop and mpc. The time it takes to make anything meaningful on a handheld iphone - rather bang on a tin can with a pair of chopsticks.

Re: Producing on the iPhone
Well obviously some real tools will beat an iPhone any day. The point is just to be able to have a little something with which you can transfer ideas from your head into something concrete while you're on the go.Danger Co wrote:Have an iphone with beatmaker and technobox tbh a load of wank!
