Secret Ninja Gaming Club (aka what have you played lately)

Post by collige » Mon Jul 05, 2010 5:44 am

I think it's about time SNH had a centralized video game thread. Post up whatever video games you've played lately, big name 360 games, flash games, whatever. I'll start.

I just bought Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed for 360. They're old, but I wanted a break from the standard "kill anything that moves" gameplay of most of today's games. Mirror's Edge is especially fun (if a bit short) as long as you are prone to motion sickness.

I also want to big up Killer7 (which I played a few months back) for being the most batshit insane piece of media I have ever experienced.

...yeah.

P.S. sticky por favor

mirrors edge was a badman game! it was way too short though, i really enjoyed doing the time trials once i finished and trying to get my time down as short as possible, was well hard! assassins creed the first one was a brilliantly made game, however for some reason i couldn't get into the second one. didn't like the era and played it for a good few hours but it just didn't grab me like the first one so got rid of it, which was a shame as i really enjoyed the plot of the first one. i've not played on my playstation for months. too broke to get new games and i've traded all my old ones in except fallout 3 (GOTY edition) and the orange box :D.

On the PC:
- City of Heroes (6 years and counting!)
- Talismania
- Bloons Tower 3
- Zuma
- Rocket Mania

On the DS:
- Cradle of Rome
- Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box

Keep meaning to start playing Portal, Oblivion and Chocobo's Dungeon but seems to be too much effort. Like most things.

And it's well worth doing! Amazing game! Did you know it was pretty much made by students? Valve saw it and employed them to make it properly apparently.

I've just been playing Shadowgate for the NES and it's FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE!

Seriously this game is fucking insanely difficult.

I fully expect it will be a repeat of me with dubstep - vaguely hearing about it for 2 years, liking the concept, then kicking myself for not getting into it 2 years earlier.

I also keep meaning to replay FF7 onwards, but again, lack of will and time.

Currently beta testing a game too which is eating up all my spare time!

Kane & Lynch 2 - Dog Days

Borrowed off a mate to kill some time until I get round to buying a new game. It's alright, good laugh to blow the crap out of innocent people cowering on the floor etc etc. But the cover system is retarded. Why if you're crouching and vault over some cover do you not go back to crouching again the other side? And would it have killed to make a slide into cover move ala Red Dead Redemption?

Have got a good way through in a relatively short amount of time, and tbh it's getting to be a bit repetitive. The only thing that's kept me playing it is the occasional new weapon you'll find.

I never understood that. You take pictures of your house and turn them into levels, right?
