samples in albino 3?

Post by gezabelle » Wed May 21, 2008 1:00 pm

hi guys.

thinking of buying albino, been playing around with the demo for over a week or so and i really like some of the sounds im getting from it. Its a very nice saturated sounding synth. Also for a bit of a production newb its quite easily laid out and things.

Just wondered if its possible to load a sample like a wav file, as the source for the sounds, 'oscillator' i think... a bit like a sampler. I thought i read somewhere online that this is possible, id like to give it a go before i take the plunge and buy it.
If anyone could explain how i could go about 'loading' a source sound into it id be SUPER grateful.

also cheapest iv found it is turnkey for £105... anyone know anywhere else to save a few £££s?

If you're using Logic then you need to side chain albino to a bus that has the audio signal you want to process with albino's effects

I don't think users can load in their own wavetables into the oscillators if that's what you mean?

Albino can process external audio using the 'input' oscillator setting however! :)

I have always wanted to do this within massive as well. I have a decent selection of wave-table sounds in a reaktor ensamble i want to load into albino+Massive

Do you know what length your wavetables are?

FAW Circle and Vember Audio Surge both allow users to import their own wavetables.

I might have to scally them off you... ;)

:D

Edit: You could loop 'em in a sampler and that would make it play like a normal synth oscillator no?
